What a pleasure it was to work with Senate and Jon on their August wedding. This Boston based couple wanted an iconic Minnesota wedding, and what better venue than the Mill City Museum. Burlap, mismatched lanterns, and fountain grasses were just a few rustic elements that brought this affair to life.
Neutral tones complimented by splashes of fiery orange and mustard yellow felt current, yet organic. Senate’s dreamy bouquet of ranunculus, anemones, garden roses, sweetheart roses, dusty miller, scabiosa pods, and silver brunia was the perfect juxaposition to the clean lines of her modern gown. Her maids carried bouquets of red dahlias, circus roses, kangaroo paw, ranunculus, and dusty miller wrapped in ikat printed fabric.
The couple traded vows in the court yard beneath the beams of the historic Mill. Lanterns and bud vases hung from the beams with streaming ribbons, and chairs were donned with clusters of succulents and greens. The magnolia served as a nod the bride’s native state of Louisiana.
Congratulations Senate and Jon!
