Bailey & Matt // Aria

Who knew that hundreds of yards of fringe, dripping orchids, and floating chandeliers would be right out of our wedding dreams. Bailey and Matt were so fun to work with, especially because they wanted to do something out of the box, and trusted our sketches coming to life. Working with Lasting Impressions and Phos Events to make this vision a reality is always a pleasure, and I mean, look at that ceiling install?! Dream come true. So fun to look back at this 2018 beauty of a day.

Keiran & Jeff // Mcnamara Alumni Center

We started a fun project on our Instagram where we interview past Sadie’s Brides, and one of our first lovely ladies was Keiran! She and her husband’s wedding was that out of a dream, and a great way to start 2020 (hello NYE partaayyy). Her style is modern yet classic, keeping simple lines and muted color palettes while playing with dry elements. It perfectly complimented the unique architecture of the Mcnamara Alumni Center at the University of Minnesota. You can read our sweet little interview with Kerian below, but in the meantime, make sure to check out some of the gorgeous images shot by Matt Lien.

#sadiesbride Kerian interview:

-How many dresses did you try before you found the one(s)? "9. I actually bought a party dress before my wedding dress!"

-What was your favorite part about your wedding day? "The ceremony— we had a friend marry us and we wrote our own ceremony/vows. It just felt so intimately us."

-What is your favorite part of being married? "That nothing really feels that different!"

-Any advice for our future brides? "It’s okay to set boundaries and feel confident in advocating for them! If you need time alone to recharge—take it!"

Maggie & Jared // Aria

So, this wedding speaks for itself. GORGEOUS! Absolutely obsessed with Maggie and Jared’s Aria wedding. That is all there is to say, and we’ll just let the photos speak for them self.

Mallory & Alex // Landmark Center

Before we get into spring inspired weddings, had to go back to the dreamy metallic day at the Landmark Center. How do you do unique, glam, AND classic? This right here. We collaborated with our friends at Linen Effects, where Mallory and Alex rented out gold centerpieces that we decked out in floral and metallic greenery. Love how this day turned out, and thank you Chelsey Werth for the amazing photos as always.

Brooke & Jonathan // The Depot

Something about a white peony with dark greenery makes me think of that sweet time in Minnesota when the Spring starts to warm, but we’re not quite in the heat of Summer. The seasonal sweet spot that makes us smile during wedding season.

Brooke and Jonathan’s ceremony and reception took place at The Depot, which was the perfect backdrop for crisp greenery and white blooms. Absolutely loved the asymmetric draping on the chuppah, which along with a floral focal point offered and modern, yet still romantic take. Going over to the reception, the candlelit centerpieces and floral balls kept the space warm and cozy so everyone could dance the night away.

It’s hard not to smile looking back at sweet couples like Brooke and Jonathan, and we are always grateful that our floral can add to our couple’s special day. <3

Rena & Eric // Loews Hotel

Before we get into Rena and Eric’s wedding (which was an absolute DREAM), we would so appreciate if you would take a few moments to vote for Sadie’s Floral for Minnesota Bride Best of 2020! Your support these past three years has meant the world to us, and that support means we get to continue flowering all over MSP. You can find the voting link here : https://mnbride.com/best-of .

Now on to what you all are here for: Rena and Eric! The couple celebrated their sweet nuptials at the Loew’s Hotel with a major WOW factor. I mean seriously, the space was transformed into a blush and cream dream. They loved all things luxe, from roses and orchids to tables flanked in shimmering candle light. With the help of modern candelabras from our friends at Linen Effects, the space felt like we left Minneapolis and were transported to a party in Hollywood.

Meg & Benton // The Machine Shop

Meg and Benton’s wedding left us smiling all day. Seriously.

When the guests walked into the Machine Shop, they were greeted by a movable wall that we created a custom wallpaper out of real flowers for. (You heard that right…real flowers.) Dawned in cream and soft orange floral, the ceremony was set in the round, centered on a hanging flower installation dripping in orchids and delphinium.

Transitioning to the reception was a breeze, where the installation anchored the dance floor, and the bride and groom had their own sweetheart table. The guest tables were decorated with tall and low arrangements, but I have to say my favorite shot of the day is the cake in front of the floral wallpaper, which was moved to be a backdrop for the dessert table. Too sweet. (pun intended)

Marisa & Troy // Landmark Center

What better way to celebrate the new year than with some color!

Marisa embraced saturated pink, and to say it was fun to design would be an understatement. Her bouquet was rounded and full romantic blooms, but with a modern twist of hanging amaranthus. When it came to styling hard-goods, the coloring and lighting in the Landmark Center naturally gives off a warm golden tone, so we opted for gold vases and candles - turning the ambiance of the space into something magical. The trees on the harvest table originally anchored the aisle for the wedding, and added a perfect sense of whimsy to their special day.

Alyssa & Andrew // Aria

Now that is is December and our season has finally slowed down, we are looking back at some of our beautiful weddings this year! First of all, where has 2019 went? Also, how are we continuously so lucky to have design for so many amazing couples!

Alyssa and Andrew were a joy to work with. Absolutely obsessed with the lush floral at Alyssa and Andrew’s wedding. Their soft color palette warmed up Aria, creating a magic-garden type vibe. When in doubt, always trust flowers, greenery, and candle light to cozy up a space.

Styled Shoot // Honey Gold at Chowgirls Solar Arts

It never ceases to amaze me what a group of industry talents can pull off for a style shoot. Inspired by honey gold coloring, the combo rose was the PERFECT starting point for us to build a lush and romantic setting. Adding in some of our new hard goods, including the gold stands on the sweetheart table we are obsessed with, it’s not surprise this shoot was nothing short dreamy.
